2021 was one of my busiest years creatively, and even then, I wasn’t able to accomplish everything that I wanted to! Still, I thought I’d take the time to discuss projects that I’m working on as well as projects that I’ve finished.
Serotonin – My horror thesis film has been submitted to a variety of festivals, and has been rejected from a few. We submitted to some of the most competitive festivals in the world, so that’s not a huge surprise. However, one festival, Ax Wound Horror Film Festival, praised the film for its “arresting commentary,” “lovely creative choices,” and “good creepy energy.” We’re looking forward to entering more festivals in 2022!
Monstersona – My first YA horror sci-fi novel was finished back in the spring. I am currently querying agents and am seeking representation so that I can submit the manuscript to larger publishers.
Lights, Camera, Can’t Stop Screaming – Currently in the middle of writing my YA romance novel. During NanoWriMo, I hit my 50K word goal for this piece. My estimated completion date is February 2022.
I also had the pleasure of publishing two short stories this year in amazing anthologies! Mulch, Chlorophobia anthology by Ghost Orchids Press, and Wear Her Body, Nightmare Fuel anthology by Cloaked Press.
Looking forward to 2022!
